My Approach

I am an integrative therapist who draws from a variety of different therapeutic modalities. I work with a mix of psychodynamic, humanistic and existential models. Sessions are client-led, meaning the content and pace of the work is set by you. My approach is relational, meaning I will help you to understand your patterns of relating to others and how this affects your sense of self. Particular attention may be paid to early attachments in childhood and how this impacts current behaviours and relationships. I believe that the therapeutic relationship represents the cornerstone of therapy. It is in the experience of a relationship in which one feels understood and inspired to understand oneself that is ultimately most therapeutic.
